Opera Widget Arcade

January 18, 2008 · by minch

Here is something to whet your appetite before the weekly release. What do Opera Desktop Developers do in their spare time, I hear you ask...? We are proud to present the Opera Widget Arcade

We are constructing an authentic looking retro arcade machine! It will not only look cool, it will help ease some stress away in the office, as we prepare for the upcoming release of Kestrel.

Hopefully it will be up and running soon, but be sure to check back at the blog to see the progress.

Odd, I can't load the Opera Widget Arcade blog. Must be under heavy load at the moment.

Anyway, it sounds like a lot of fun. Keep up the good work.

Perfect for playing Operanoid! (though you might want to zoom in, I guess)

Also, who's idea was it to give Opera Desktop Developers spare time? Sheesh.

Needs a working coin-slot mechanism.

I modified xbox1 can run all emulators up to and including playstation one. Its also cheap and easy to modify. I have 3 modded boxes that I use for media centers. The xbox has an arcade style 2-person controller to fit your old-school look also. I've seen it done before. In addition to all this coolness, the modded box can run various versions of linux. It potentially does all these things simulteneously. Linux can be setup to be just anotehr program to run. Enjoy!
