Speed Dial zooming, multi-column, and mail fixes
Back at the office for a few minutes, during a break in the skiing World Championships at Holmenkollen, to share a new Barracuda build with you!
We are still focusing on improving Speed Dial, and here's the next piece of the puzzle! The first thing you should test is zooming in on the Speed Dial page and then add some new Speed Dials. When that is done, why not try out some of the new options in the configurations dialog? Note that this is still work in progress, so more changes are expected. See the highlights below for more on what's new in Speed Dial.
In other news, we've upgraded Core to Presto 2.8.115 to get some bug fixes and new features, including CSS 3 Multi-column and some polishing of Opera Turbo. We also have this document that lists all the specifications we support in this core version.
On the mail side, we've added support for phrase searching, which will also improve CJK searches in mail. Use quotes in the search field and it searches for phrases like you are used to in other search engines. There are also various bug fixes for the mail panel, eg when drag-and-dropping. If you don't like the auto displaying of the mail panel when opening a mail window, you might like opera:config#UserPrefs|AutoMailPanelToggle
Check out this great changelog, give the builds a spin and stream the skiing WC in your favorite browser like us!

Keep doing what you do best.
EDIT: After a bit of testing, I can conclude that speed dial isn't what I want it to be just yet. There is still a lot of wasted space. When zooming it just feels like it could get the 'tabs' next to each other, but it doesn't.
I don't know if this is because I'm used to the old speed dial, but the pop up box that allows you to assign a page to a 'tab' just feels like it shouldn't be there. It feels a little bit unnatural to me.
In any case, can't wait to see the next improvements

- Speed Dial:
* I removed the Zooming button so to zoom I'm using the keyboard shortcuts, and in order to zoom on the Speed Dial page using the keyboard, one has to set the focus on the "Configure Speed Dial" button, else the input characters default int the search bar.
* the Speed Dial thumbnail in Visual Tabs is still broken
* I don't understand why every zooming in/out requires reloading each webpage attached to a Speed Dial button to redraw the thumbnail !? Wouldn't it be easier and faster to save a once a time full size screenshot of the page and resize it at will ?
* When choosing the Speed Dial layout, the width of the buttons should adapt to the width of the browser.

= all broken.
content blocker works kinda strange. it blocks ads but on flash ads it just shows the placeholder instead of hiding them at all (I have on demand plugins enabled)

Put the opera:config#UserPrefs|AutoMailPanelToggle toggle button on the Mail toolbar somewhere as a "Un/pin mail panel"
And are speed dials supposed to refresh after I zoom in/out the speed dial?

I bet your urlfilter.ini is corrupted.
See the "Using the Content Blocker while logged in to Opera Link can cause a crash" known issue. This crash can lead to a corrupted urlfilter.ini and thus (a lot) of pages not loading/getting blocked.

- Still caches all directly viewed images in \icons folder. (Some weird feature??)
- "Panning" of big image with middle or right mouse button give strange results (right mouse button getting "stuck", random mouse gestures triggers sometimes, etc.

If 5 coulumn layout is selected and panel is open, the last column goes out of the screen. (My resolution is 1280x1024)
I hate the very sight of that big + sign.
