Speeds Dials gone? Don't worry, they are not lost!
There is a bug in the recent development builds that causes Speed Dial entries to disappear after using Opera Link.
You will be glad to know that Link is still aware of these entries and it is possible to bring them back. To do so, follow these instructions:
Open the following preference opera:config#OperaSync|SyncClientStateSpeedDial2 and set it to '0' (sans quotes), then click 'Save', as per this image:

Within a few minutes your Speed Dial entries should return.

Also, window resizing doesn't work properly in preview pane of Roundcube webmail in the latest build.

Since sync is working without backups, it is very easy with unstable builds that if unaware of potential bugs like speed dial loss or wand loss, You could easily install buggy build on all computers that You have and by doing that completely wipe out Your Sync Data.
My suggestion is that Opera adds a feature where You could select number of older copies to keep online, 3 for instance so You can go back easily few days and restore Your sync data.

Actually, my colleague Mitchman was the first to mention the work around to me. I'd assumed he know what to do by looking into the code that causes the flaw but I didn't actually ask him. He may have read a comment from Anton Diaz, or even someone else. However, whether Anton was the first or not I presume he has been spreading this way of working around the bug to other users. In which cases he deserves a thanks for that! So sure, thanks Anton and also thanks to anyone else helping people get around this issue.

Waiting for a new build without this bug!

When I choose for 'close all except active' all other tabs are being closed almost immediately without taking focus or whatever.
As I say, I do not know if this is only from the latest, did not notice it before, but wouldn't it be better/ nicer if the 'close all function' would work the same as 'close all except active'?

Its the same in Opera 11.11 so I suspect it has been like this for some time. I don't recall seeing it mentioned before, but "Close All" is significantly slower than "Close All but Active."File a bug report, as it is something that could probably be improved quite easily.
kanstisama4. June 2011, 15:54
Looks like we'll have to use backup copy of speeddial for some time.
James438james4384. June 2011, 18:45
Not that this is a big deal for me much since I can easily bring my speed dials back using the method I mentioned earlier.

This problem is in build 11.11 2109 too. Any way this "trick" works on this build too

1)install this extension(need to use this version 11.50 build 1031 windows
https://addons.opera.com/addons/extensions/details/nettools/1.1/?display=en
2)change the preferences to USA dallas(pref. of the extension)
3)load any website
4) now click the extension in the toolbar and click "ping"
5)???
results: instantly crashes opera (this build also)
if confirmed..should i report it or it is a bug of the extension?
