Opera Dragonfly 1.1 RC6 is ready

August 30, 2011 · by Daniel Herzog

After a couple of bugfixes and some newly found issues with pseudo-elements in release candidate 5, we now consider 1.1 ready. RC6 is live on the experimental path, if nothing serious gets found, it will be launched as 1.1 soon. It also has all translations that were previously missing, so please feel free to try those too.

Also see the list of changes since RC5. Please let us know in the comments if you find anything striking, we appreciate it!

At Storage, under any tabs, except the Cookies, (for now choose Session storage) try to create an entry with some value that contains a backslash (\). Example:
    Key: test
    Value: content\a

The backslash won't be saved. Or if I put it to the end of the string, the entry cannot be saved, actually it will be removed. Or if I try to edit an entry that has a backslash followed by a quotation mark - \" - (it's possible to add by a script), so double-clicking on it and editing the value (e.g., removing a character or doing nothing), clicking somewhere or pressing enter, will delete the entire row.

In brief: backslash isn't escaped properly.
