Opera Unite Terms of Service updated
Looks like the Terms of Service hadn't been updated for Unite, but that has been fixed now.
There was some confusion about the part that talked about "uploading content to Opera's site", and people were worried that using Unite would mean that Opera owns all your data. With Unite, you aren't uploading your data to anyone's site, but I can understand why people got confused.
So now, the Terms of Service explicitly mention Opera Unite:
That should hopefully people's minds at ease.
Remember that with Unite, you are in control of your own data.

For the avoidance of doubt, this clause does not apply to the files you share as an End-User of the Opera Unite, as such files are never uploaded to Opera’s site. Opera will not make a claim to own or use those files.
That should hopefully people's minds at ease.

Current ToS aren't really encouraging to share my work if Opera Software can take it and use as it wasn't mine

lockoom: These are probably the same ToS as for widgets, and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Anyway, I do not like these terms… And I'm really surpised, that no one at Opera feels any discomfort about them.

Yes, there is a problem, most people just don't read the terms and as far as I remember some time ago ToS for widgets were less strict. I might remember wrong but I don't think so, because I uploaded quite a few widgets and have read the terms a couple times.
Anything except from hosting the widget on widgets.opera.com or displaying the widget picture for simple promotional purposes. This is MY CREATION, is this that hard to understand? For example I don't like the fact that Opera could modify a widget and bundle it with Opera preinstalled on a commercial device without paying or at least asking me if I'm OK with it. And no, I don't wet myself from excitement while thinking about how much exposure or "fame" the widget could get this way.
