    2) Opera Link
    3) Tab management (stacking, pinning)
  • CKtalonWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:12:07 PM

    1. Fully customizable keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures
    2. Tab behavior from Opera 12.15, inclusive of pinning, stacking (Ctrl-tab goes to previous used tab, not cycling through them like in Chrome, Firefox or Opera 15)
    3. Wand
  • Vladimir GeorgievWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:16:08 PM

    1. Visual tabs.
    2. Bookmarks (or at least support speed dial nicknames the same way as Opera 12 bookmark nicknames).
    3. Ctrl+Tab in recently-used order.
  • flyman1910Wednesday, May 29, 2013 11:16:23 PM

    1. Opera Link

  • h143570Wednesday, May 29, 2013 11:16:45 PM

1, M2 integrated and accessible from the side bar (at least RSS Feed capability)
2, The sidebar with all its options (also it would be great, if you could provide an API that would allow extensions created for it)
3, Customizable keyboard control (including spatial navigation and one key shortcuts)

    vertical tabs
  • exzentrikWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:18:17 PM

There are many features I am missing in the current Opera 15 version. But the top 3 would look like this:

1.) The classic bookmark bar like in Opera 12
2.) A fully customizable UI like in Opera 12 (e.g. rearranging and adding/removing buttons, bars)
3.) The tab bar functions like in Opera 12 (e.g. open new tab with a middle or double click on the tab bar)
  • artusWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:23:59 PM

  • MikeWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:27:07 PM

    This is linux only

    1. Ability to communicate/execute native applications and use stdin/stdout/stderr.
    2. Ability to create and use native sockets
    3. Ability to fully access my file system

I am not a virus creator. I want this for my desktop.
Why chromeOS when operaOS would be so much better
  • EmoryyWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:28:58 PM

    - total and full skinning (not only simple theming)
    - start bar (http://homepage.hispeed.ch/ttt-o/guide/32full/a-startbarskin.html)
    - tab bar in its current glory: eg. multi row, and thumbnails (preview/thumbnail tabs)
  • euphorionWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:29:36 PM

    1) master password for saved passwords
    2) history settings
    3) content blocker
  • redmondbWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:34:34 PM

In no particular order (and leaving so much out)...
    - Panels (esp. Bookmarks, Links & Windows)
    - Keyboard access (esp. 1, 2, +, -)
    - UI customisation
  • Vladimir GeorgievWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:43:01 PM

( Btw I actually expected an even more structured survey to be carried by Opera using a dedicated web interface, instead of the free form text in unstructured comments  This initiative of yours is a step in such a direction... )
  • blaximaWednesday, May 29, 2013 11:44:41 PM

Nice to see some open dialogue

    1. Integrated mail - one of the best features imo as it just seems to go hand and hand with going online.

    2. Customizable UI - the ability to move whatever I want' to where ever I want and remove what I don't want.

    3. Bookmarks - I am a big fan of speed dial(even created my own) but having every single saved page there is a bit much and seems a little too Windows (h)8 touch centric
  • Lakitu7Wednesday, May 29, 2013 11:45:05 PM

    - Tabs on the left side
    - Tab stacking / pinning

  • XP1Wednesday, May 29, 2013 11:52:50 PM

    1) Bookmarks (manager with folders, nicknames, descriptions).
    2) Wand / Password manager (button shows list of accounts; saves non-text inputs, like checkboxes and radios).

3-search box and ability to use custom search engines
  • r2x0tThursday, May 30, 2013 12:07:07 AM

    1) GUI customization - bar and toolbars I can put links or user buttons on, proper status bar and classic menu.
    2) Multi-row tabs - and don't break tab drag&drop like it was for a long time in Opera 12
    3) Mouse gestures, most importantly mouse button flick to go back/forth in history, right mouse + wheel to instantly switch tabs (don't show anything)
  • DanieleThursday, May 30, 2013 12:14:44 AM

Since Link and Dragonfly are planned in a future version I'll skip them.
Here's my list if the top 3 Opera features:
    1) Tabs behavior ( i.e. private tabs, tab stacking, "Recently closed Tabs" button, pinned tabs,…)
    2) Wand
    3) Customization: in particular custom search engines and the ability to modify the UI layout.
  • DanielThursday, May 30, 2013 12:17:56 AM

    1) Tab-Stacking
    2) Middle Mouse Button behavior _EXACTLY_ as in Opera 12

    1 - Bookmarks
    2 - M2 integraded
    3 - Wand
  • Rafael LuikThursday, May 30, 2013 12:37:20 AM

    1. Modifier keys (Ctrl and Shift).
(For search / search with / go to web address, in the address field and forms in pages.)

    2. When closing a tab go to the last active and open tabs at the end of the tab bar, and tab thumbnails for identifying them more easily. (Am I cheating? hehe)

    3. Notes. The only feature I actually use from the panel.
  • AsiresThursday, May 30, 2013 12:40:16 AM

    1. Custom Menu/Buttons/Keyboard/Gestures.
    2. Stacking and tabs thumbnail tooltips (interrelated).

    1) Advanced settings (history, startup options, tab options)
    2) Keyboard shortcuts
    3) Status bar
    3) On the fly source editing :right:
  • Krzysztof HankiewiczThursday, May 30, 2013 12:50:22 AM

    1. Bookmarks. Pretty self-explanatory.
    2. Keyboard navigation. One of my favorite features exclusive to Opera: tab button only switches between form items, while anchor navigation is based on other key combinations - q/a if single-key shortcuts are enabled, or shift +cursor keys by default. I prefer not to use the mouse/touchpad while navigating the web, the lack of these shortcuts makes Opera as unusable as $browser for me.
    3. Forward/back using the lmb+rmb/rmb+lamb combos.
  • steven1111Thursday, May 30, 2013 12:55:42 AM

    1) Bookmarks

    3.) Wand
  • amazingdThursday, May 30, 2013 1:02:17 AM

    1.Opera Link
    2.Mouse gesture
    3.Bookmarks
  • Katrina KnightThursday, May 30, 2013 1:13:14 AM

The first two are easy for me to choose. At least half a dozen other features are vying for third place.

    1, bookmarks
    2. Notes
    3. more choices for settings - I don't like all or nothing choices. I want to block unwanted pop-ups, not allow all or block all. I want to be asked about cookies so that I can choose whether to allow them or not for each new site that wants to set them. Having to choose all or none then add exceptions for each site I want to allow them for is not workable for me.
  • Constantine VesnaThursday, May 30, 2013 1:24:29 AM

    1. Controls: Keyboard shortcuts (1/2), Ctrl/Shift modifiers for context menu actions like "Go to url", Rocker gestures (ie: Back = LMB,RMB,LMB).
    2. Tab behaviour: tab cycling order, new tab placement, visual tabs, "tab loaded" indicator.
    3. F4 panel: "Windows" with filtering and ability to manage tabs, "Downloads" for quick access to downloaded files.

  • hobeThursday, May 30, 2013 1:30:46 AM

Seing missing Link and faulty Mouse Gestures (open in new tab anyone?) as bugs and Mail not as browser product, the three main points would be:
    1 Bookmarks
2 Configuraten (Site preferences, appearance, buttons, gestures, keyboard shortcuts,...)
    3 Notes

I hope, as soon as you've implemented the most frequently requested features you're making another list, because there is much more than just 3 things.
  • j3j00Thursday, May 30, 2013 1:45:53 AM

    1. Bookmarks
    2. Private Tabs
    3. Smooth Scrolling
  • gThursday, May 30, 2013 2:04:44 AM

I could go for 30. Oh well...

    1) bookmarks (in a sidepanel)
    2) customisation (UI, keyboard, CSS, ...)
    3) tabs management and behaviour
  • po6otThursday, May 30, 2013 2:06:38 AM

    1) Site Preferences! I don't know how I'm going to survive without the ability to adjust cookies, plugins, etc. per site.

    2) Bookmarks & bookmarks bar! (and I've always loved having the bookmarks bar above the tab bar.)

    3) Missing mouse gestures. I'm not sure exactly which ones are missing, but I have way too much muscle-memory for things like being able to drag down to open a link in a new tab. If those go away, I don't know what I'm going to do.
  • RyanThursday, May 30, 2013 2:08:33 AM

    1. Bookmarks, obviously.
    2. Customization, especially the toolbars.
    3. User JS/CSS stuff.

That's top three. I have a lot more and I've been finding another every time I play with the Next.
  • thshdwThursday, May 30, 2013 2:09:53 AM

    1) All the tab behavior from 12.15, Stacking, Trash can, pinning, private, alt-tab (Mac) for visual cycle through tabs

    2) Notes

    3) Bookmarks
  • blackbird71Thursday, May 30, 2013 2:20:19 AM

    1. Bookmarks (nicknames, multiple folder levels, and ability to organize and visually tree-access >750 bookmarks)
    2. Site Preferences
    3. Editable/configurable toolbars (especially bookmark bar)

By the way... thanks for asking for the input!
  • walterk84Thursday, May 30, 2013 2:24:15 AM

  • itsStephenThursday, May 30, 2013 2:29:44 AM

    1. Integrated mail (ie. The reason I use opera and the reason I may no longer use opera)
    2. Private tabs (not private windows)
    3. Bookmarks and more importantly the bookmarks bar (another reason i may no longer use opera)
