Opera 5.00 beta 3 for Mac changelog

This document details the changes made in Opera 5.0 for Mac Beta 3 since 5.0 beta 2.

User interface

• Various contextual menus now include the selected text
• Added support for inserting Personal Info (name, etc.) from the context menu in form text input fields
• The URL field is no longer being reset if an URL could not be found
• InternetConfig: You can now specify file types and edit them (but this is buggy in the Carbon version). It is also possible to "Not expand downloaded items"
• Updated search-input field, added AllTheWeb, and removed Altavista
• Empty disk-cache now works when you press the button

• It should now be possible to remove select options
• JavaScript text-input dialog now works

Plug-ins

Bookmarks

• Added support for "Get Info" button in the bookmark bar
• Bookmark folders and items can have label colors

Bug fixes

• More AppleScript bugfixing
• Toolbars: Did a few good cleanups and fixed a bunch of cosmetic bugs
• Fixed hidden IFRAME bug
• Carriage return now accepted in bookmark description
• Opera can now open files with slashes in the path. Quotation marks still broken. Most characters from ISO-8859-1 should work, but not Mathematical symbols
• Fixed some cache problems. Images and CSS still doesn't load properly during startup or if you type 3 URLs (very) quickly
