Beautify your Speed Dial!

August 29, 2011 · by Aleksander Aas

Eric G's Speed Dial setup!

We all love to customize Opera, some more than others. After getting a fancy new skin and removing some toolbars many of us are stuck. Fortunately there is a super sweet extension to help us.

ForceSpeedDialLogos comes with close to 500 logos for the most popular sites Online. Don't like the preset? Just add your custom images through the preferences! A huge thanks to Alexander aka s-a-s-h for this amazing extension!

No thank you, I like mine.

That's my desktop in the background.
I made the icons myself (partially) and I'm using V7-Glass, alongside Opera 10.00 alpha

I find it so utterly ugly and boring that my eyes are hurting.

Love the piratebay icon; that one looks much finer than the rest IMO
TweetBird too big for my 18 Speed Dial tab perhaps

I have (mostly) no problems with the speed dial default view on my computer, but on my phone it's hard to tell one log-in screen from another...

Customizing Speed Dial images should be a native functionality

It is Monday, 29 August here in America... suddenly, I've lost my customized theme & skin - everything is now harsh, and white... anyone else out there having this issue? Or, is it because of me getting crazy with the extensions? Any help would be GREAT - I can't even see the smileys below... help...!

My speed dial icons are still stock... maybe it is time to change things a bit...

Icons should be proportional to speed dial item width and height, so, for example, selected icon with size 300px : 20px will not be shown, and you'll see preview of the page as usual.

As I poster earlier, I haven't tried the logos yet. I just wish that my existing speed dial connections would stay running on a regular basis... on some days when I log in, some of the connections will read 'no data'... I'm sure that the Opera crew will come up with a fix, and soon. The most persistent one is the news feed. Be well, everyone.
