Scenario: You have 12 speed dials, 4 across, 3 down.
Problem: You have the + speed dial in the first column of the next row and the speed dial page (viewing from wide-screen laptop) becomes scrollable.

Is there a solution to not make the speed dial page become scrollable and display all 12 speed dials in the manner stated above on this new Opera Speed Dial layout?

I've tested a version of 11.10 and this features annoys me the most.

Should be better a kind of SpeedDial with 3 or more pages as in app pages in mobile devices?
You can manage the SpeedDial in different ways, 1 for Work webs, 2 For Enternainment webs, 3 for Tech Webs...
Using the same way, one dot for each speedDial page

I don't like the Scroll & Plus Button

    About SpeedDial

I think the best solution is the combination of the old and the new. In detail, we might have all of the aspects of the new way plus an option to generate the thumbnail of the web page. I can see with the new SpeedDial some ugly thumbnails.

Not very practical with a fixed value for the columns.

If it fits on full screen it doesn't fit in smaller sizes - rezoom.
If it fits on smaller sizes it looks empty on bigger - rezoom.
If it fits on a big size and I open the panels at the side: rezoom because I get a horizontal scrollbar.

The worst thing: With every rezoom the pages are downloaded again, so some of my speeddials images from local servers (that aren't always on) blank out.

IMHO the best thing would be, if there would be an option to switch off speeddial completely and display an arbitrary page instead. Then everyone with a little bit of HTML, CSS and JS knowledge could build his own page. May be someone could even build something like this - Opera is all about customizing, why not go the full length?

BTW: Would be nice if we could use canvas for taking screenshots of the pages (like possible in Fx) or get access to the thumbnail generation of Opera ...
