It's been a week since the previous 12.50 ("Marlin") snapshot, so it's time to give you an update before the weekend.

This build contains a number of crash and performance fixes, and we also made some tweaks to the page redraw settings ("First Update Delay" and "Styled First Update Timeout") which we need feedback on. Please let us know how the default values work for you, and feel free to tweak them to see the results.

We've fixed a few more Drag and Drop issues as well, and this build does away with prefixes on CSS3 Gradients (more on this in the developer relations blog).

Mac users on Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) will see a new Sharing menu taking the place of the the bookmark star menu while retaining it’s features in the address field. The menu now offers sharing services such as the system's Messages and Mail services as well as third-party providers Twitter and Facebook. Facebook is not currently available on the platform but it is still displayed in the menu. Regional localization, e.g. Sina Weibo in China, will come at a later time.

There are also a number of fixes here that are already in 12.01, but that had not been taken into 12.50 yet. This includes the crash when clicking the bookmark star in the address bar.

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

    Hmm... The x64 build doesn't load any pages. Tried reinstall as well. Just says "Connection closed by remote server" no matter what page I open.

    Opera 12.01 and other browsers works fine.

    edit: Even Opera Link doesn't work

    Edit 2: Tested the x86 build as well. Same problem.

    Both using stand-alone install.

    Check that the address is spelled correctly, or try searching for the site.

    x64 windows, hard to test a web browser when its main function is broken.

    Problem - In the "Latest Releases" column the link/text "All Releases & News... | Just New Apps..." is displayed out of the box/border . Works fine in other browsers . All my broswers have same font settings and are set to display at 150% .

    Can't install as it crashes during upgrade!

    Right after extracting, I get this error message:

    "Error initializing Opera: module 15 (logdoc)"

    I can install the previous Next build again without problems on the same (default) location.

    Win7x64 and Opera Next x64

    Any ideas what I can do?

    Copy or cutting part of the text in an input field, sometimes puts all the text in the clipboard. This also happens in the address bar.

    The Clipboard API is still not working.

    I have enabled it in site preferences, but:
    document.execCommand('copy')

    still returns "false" and nothing is copied

    This insane -webkit- thing gets worse. Now the remaining CSS cascade is completely broken:

    background: linear-gradient(#CCC, green);
    background: -webkit-linear-gradient(#CCC, red);

    You tell us you dropped the damn vendor prefixes? Praise the lord! To bad it's not true. It's still prefixed. Let me repeat what I wrote in the dev blog and in the forum: You want to provide error recovery? Then you need to make the -webkit- garbage *lower* precedence. Lower than the remaining -o- properties and lower than the unprefixed properties.

    Since the last update I'm having problems with the snap-links extension (https://addons.opera.com/addons/extensions/details/snap-links/)
    On several websites holding the left mouse button and dragging it doesn't make the rectangle appear on the same parts as it does in Opera 12:

    It happens on Google and a lot of other sites, please fix that.

    Is there an option to disable OOP plugins? I only have a single core machine and since the introduction of OOP plugins I've noticed terrible slowdown in both plugin performance and browser responsiveness. Maybe have an option in opera:config like Firefox does in about:config. :smile:

    Also, when should we expect a fix for NTLM proxies? I hate it when you're constantly asked for authentication everytime a new resource is loaded. :sad:

    WOW, DSK-357099 (locked tabs after Opera start) still here! :yikes:
    This one has been confirmed by another user here and I provided detailed information via e-mail after the initial bug report!

    After Opera start, every minimized tab after the currently maximized one is locked/grayed out!
    Will this extremely annoying bug ever be fixed?!:furious:

    sorry, I could not confirm this. tried Ctrl+A on a web page & tabs and it did not crash.

    Cannot delete Domains from Persistent Storage. Don't know if this is related to "CORE-46780 Persistent storage file corrupted during shutdown" not being totally fixed, or whether it is a regression caused by the fix. Works in 11.64

    PLEASE FIX DSK-367776

    This has been requested several times on blog posts about updates with no word from anyone from Opera if this is intentional or a bug.
    PLEASE someone from Opera confirm if this is a bug and planned to get fixed or if it is intentional behavior.

    For anyone else wondering, DSK-367776 is an issue with Opera not respecting the Pagebar Min/Max Button Size in skin.ini of skins anymore.

    Aww. :sad: Should I expect an option in the future? Firefox's can be disabled in about:config and I thought maybe Opera could do something similar.

    1. Google+ still isn't working
    2. RMB outside of YouTube flash video makes Opera work slower. CPU time lowers down to almost zero for opera.exe. Everything is fine for RMB inside of the video.

    Flash is still quite a mess for me no matter the system I'm using.

    -video size is messed up and shrinks with each video played

    @youtube and any site with flash
    - quickly scrolling smears the video down the page.

    All flash related problems I'm having are found in the entire 12 branch(that includes "stable" releases). 11.64 plays things fine.

    clean usb install
    flash 11.3.300.268

    Failed to connect to server. The reason may be that the encryption methods supported by the server are not enabled in the security preferences.

    Please note that some encryption methods are no longer supported, and that access will not be possible until the website has been upgraded to use strong encryption.

    Pictures don't load on all pages.

    Had to log in from IE to write this comment

    Edit: ok, now for some reason no page is loading.

    Yes, I can confirm. It is broken from the previous snapshot. Opera Adblock is also nonfunctional. It's probably related to the extended Urlfilter API.
