Mail: In the mail header field there is a new little button (show all), when there are a lot of addresses in To: or Cc: - All right.
But I can not scroll down the header content. Only the mail text itself is scrollable. So not all recipients might be read on small displays, e.g. on netbooks

I think it's time to say that you're doing a very good job. The quality and progress of Opera is awesome and i'm impressed by every new version of Opera. Thank you Opera team. Have a nice weekend cheers

DSK-350191 (chinese chraracters instead of proper display of content or protocol type) only partially solved under w7x64 here.

No more Chinese characters in the display of the the protocol type or the content type in the toolbar but no characters at all.

I for sure will not click to register content or or protocol handlers to web services without knowing what I register.

May be sticking more to the suggestion made at the HTML5 spec page would be better, at least the aditional warning triangle would be appropriate IMHO.

A usability issue with the new email view -- the button for popping up the mail view dialog is at the top right end of the page (in the mail toolbar); whereas the resulting dialog pops up at the top left end of the page. This is annoying as one has to move the mouse all the way to the other end of the screen to change any setting.

Also, where are the keyboard shortcuts to change the mail view from list-only to message-below to message-on-right?

At first: thanks for the hard work up !! I noticed a strange behavior with 11.60...with Opera 12 when you click on some links on www.bild.de a kind of this behavior is shown before the page loads! I reported this as a bug long time ago (DSK-298198), but with Opera 11.60, bild.de is working fine (only very rarely this behavior is shown), but now I see it when I log in to Twitter and Facebook confused . Opera 12 doesn't show it there...

Any plans to remove "opera:gpu" before 11.60 final?

dont ignore this..little things do matter

it would be stupid to have opera:gpu in the final 11.60
  • zombieFriday, November 11, 2011 4:54:02 PM

I always have a tab open with rss feeds (Feeds > Read Feeds).
If the feeds list is empty when I open Opera the wrong buttons (mail buttons) are displayed in the toolbar over the message window.
When a feed is received the toolbar will turn back to the correct buttons.

Wouldn't be stupid cause most people don't even know it exist, so there's not big change they will type in that address

11.60 is great so far... what I'd love to see before final:

    1. Less CPU usage when smooth scrolling, especially on sites like reddit.com/r/shutupandtakemymoney

    2. Less space taken by the "top" UI, which includes the address bar. A little too much whitespace underneath the address bar I think (makes it look bulky).
  • XombiemubaidrFriday, November 11, 2011 5:06:13 PM

i think you should continue hunt for bugs for one more week and release parallel builds for opera 11.6 and opera 12 or maybe just opera 11.6 since webgl is not much important but stability!! yes
  • Novoselov MichaelShark136Friday, November 11, 2011 5:07:22 PM

Confirm - no more crash on http://samlab.ws
But I do not know who was the first, owner (he made a small change in the site code), or your team.
    However, now all is fine.

A few builds ago, I found a bug with the address bar. Now, here is how to reproduce it easily idea :

    1) Open a new tab, make a search in the address bar.
    2) Go to one of the result with keyboard shortcuts. (Shift + Arrow keys and then Enter)
    3) Make a Ctrl + T in order to open a new tab.
    4) Now click on the previous tab.

-> The icon next to "Web" in the address bar has disappeared ! yikes

    Win7 x64 / openSUSE 11.4 x86_64

PS : Do not forget to fix other quite old skin bugs wink (the 2 pixels line over the Opera menu icon, the "click to activate" icon in the address bar which is 1px under the others, the progress bar which is shifted when it reaches ***/***).

I know it is not very fun to do but it would look more professional. smile

PS2 : I had a crash with this build that was automatically reported, but I could not say why. confused

Trivial IMO — a setting that no one knows about is hardly likely to cause problems. Those who have been following betas know that it applies to Opera 12.00.

All opera:gpu shows for me is "Vega Backend Software." What does it show for you, and why does it matter?
  • Christophchristoph142Friday, November 11, 2011 5:35:11 PM

Still the two issues with the installer:

    1. if Opera is running and has to be terminated by the installer, the "waiting"-icon has a box around it

    2. the language is changed by default to your system instead of keeping the one of the Opera installation, which you are trying to upgrade
  • WilbundelFriday, November 11, 2011 5:42:59 PM

The work of the local CSS will be fixed?
  • dracodraconairFriday, November 11, 2011 5:44:20 PM

So, starting from 11.60 I will need to mark all my feeds/news as read because of non existing unread messages (there is no way to figure which feeds causing the problem because of number of them)? It works for years, what did you do with mail database? And I still have two october bars... rofl

(I restored stable mail folder before this update)

They work only on first load. If you refresh the page, or you close it and go back later, they do not load anymore. sad

Open a HTML5-YouTube-Video (without any other HTML5-Videos loaded before)
Close the tab before the video is 'initialized' =>
    Opera crashes

Opera "Welcome-Screen" isn't centered on main-screen when using more than one screens.

"An important bug in this site: http://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/

    Image: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/2976/operabug.png

The category list is not working as it should, it is supposed that you have to chose only ONE item from each column until you reach a continue buttom.

It's a well known site for sales.

by reading the comments in this blog people will know "opera:gpu" exists in the 11.60 snapshots so far so i dont think that a "setting that no one knows about" is kinda vague..(unless moderators decided to remove my comment about this)

lets admit that 11.60 is "unexpected" to come since a lot of users expecting 12 is next after 11.52 but releasing a build without HWA plus showing a "GPU summary" from a single page is misleading a bit of users who "maybe" accidentally type opera:gpu in addresfield.

and for the people who like to browse the "opera:config" searching for GPU..well you know about it now

sure its beta stage and applies for 12 but 11.60 final(stable) with opera:gpu in it is misleading a lot of users dont you think? might as well use a 12 snapshot as a main stable build than a 11.60 with a misleading page

this will be my final posts about this..i expect opera dev team to get on their heads and remove the page before reaching RC or final

    small things do matter.

    More bugs:
    - Open a very secure HTTPS-Webpage (so that the text in the "Web/Secure" field is long enough to stretch that field)
    - Switch to a normal Tab
    - Close Opera
    - Open Opera
    - Switch to that secure Tab
    => http://img7.imagebanana.com/img/ph17sqtw/Unbenannt.PNG

    ---

After closing Opera, opera.exe*32 is still running for at least 5 Minutes (or longer)

    All bugs @ win7 x64

close tab, open it again, back and forward: ok
had one case video didn't play again after hitting F5 reload. In other cases video started to play again from the beginning after F5 as expected

    Sometimes (I cannot really reproduce it), a Flash-Element doesn't
disappear when a page was reloaded or a tab was closed.
