The problem of copying text. Do not want to select text. Opera 1210 int Setup 1652, 32 bit, Windows 7.

Every time I restart Opera, all tabs are loaded without images. I have to manually go from tab to tab and change this setting... this is driving me crazy!
Also many times, Opera starts behaving really sluggish, scrolling isn't smooth, you can feel it takes some time for it to respond to clicks etc. All this happens without any higher CPU usage and usually after a minute it's fast again. Disabled all plugins, but still have same problem.

I had this for a long time. This is what I did to fix it:
* Clean install (there is a 'how to' somewhere in the knowledge base. You have to remove Opera and delete 3 directories manually)
* Disable SPDY2 and SPDY3. There is some indications on this comments.
* Mostly forget about extensions. Many extensions cause this. Web of Trust, NoAds and AdBlock caused this crashes with me. Opera AdBlock (not the same as AdBlock) seems to not have this problem. But I am still testing this last one.
* Increase the user js storage quota - if you have some extension working
Doing this four steps the crashes stopped (or at least went back to the 12.0x levels).

To get the functionality back for a gesture to go to speed dial, try changing the action to: go to page, "opera:speeddial"

A clean install is indeed a good thing as it fixes many of the problems that people are describing on this blog. As for Extensions and their preferences, they are kept in a directory named "widgets" inside the opera profile. You can save that directory and put it back after the clean install and you'll get your extensions exactly as they where before. Though, you may want to test opera without extensions for a bit before restoring them, to see if any remaining problems are due to the extensions.

For those who have big gripes with the current version and want to quickly verify if they subsist with a clean install, you can simulate a clean install by starting opera with an alternate configuration directory by running it from the command line as:
opera -pd alternatedirectory
It should work with most if not all opera versions.

This is "by design" as these extensions are using persistent storage to store their data. It has been like this from the start. The problem is that simply installing most extensions trigger the crashes. Even with a clean install, if you install WOT or NoAds, it will start to crash repeatably almost immediately. Whoever has this crashes on OSX simply cannot freely install extensions...

I have more than one issue. Even stopped repeating them. Is yours one of them?
1- When a YouTube video is opened, it starts playing for a few seconds, and then the player flashes and starts to load the video again.
2- If I go to full screen when playing a video, sometimes the screen goes all black, but the sound still plays. I have to click where the button switch off the full screen would be on the black screen to return to the normal page. But the player never goes back to normal. I have to reload the page to the video resume playing with images.

So, rc-4 was simply released as final, DSK-376790 *unaddressed* (very ugly menu display bug).
Additionally, the file that gets downloaded when the Arch radio button is selected on the download page is ***NOT*** an Arch package but just a dumb archive with application files and install script. Why is the Arch radio button even there if it is not an Arch package? It should be named "Other linux".
Overall, 12.10 is buggier than 12.0, which was buggier than 11.61. 12.10 is so buggy it is barely usable: menus show garbage (DSK-376790), scrolling stutters all the time, sometimes it is impossible to paste text into HTML controls, CPU usage is extremely high, there are NSL conditions on multiple websites, rendering is broken on multiple websites, and using the "Clear private data" function breaks even more websites (example: http://www.scp-wiki.net), apparently by preventing stylesheets from being applied.
I think this pretty much sums itself up.

visiting http://www.heise.de and scrolling on their website crashes Opera 12.10 x64 on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Hardware acceleration and WebGL are turned off.
Please fix this.
Cheers,
Lars

Is this behavior a bug or intentional?

I have more than one issue. Even stopped repeating them. Is yours one of them?
1- When a YouTube video is opened, it starts playing for a few seconds, and then the player flashes and starts to load the video again.
2- If I go to full screen when playing a video, sometimes the screen goes all black, but the sound still plays. I have to click where the button switch off the full screen would be on the black screen to return to the normal page. But the player never goes back to normal. I have to reload the page to the video resume playing with images.

I use 150%.
Compare http://i.imgur.com/QmFWL.jpg in build 1646 and this build (1652).
Reported as DSK-376910.
I will use build 1646 until it is fixed, it is just too annoying.
